We all know Mitt Romney's out of the race, but what about David Archuleta?
This 17-year old kid from - you guessed it - Murray, Utah is "the one to beat" this season. I like him. And not just because I'm Mormon. If that were the case, I would have liked Carmen Rasmussen, Jon Peter Lewis, or even jump on the Brooke White bandwagon.

Yeah, yeah - bring on the jokes. I'm admitting to watching this season (from the very beginning no less), and I'm strangely enjoying it. This kid is going to be successful no matter how the rest of American Idol goes.

I'm disappointed he didn't get rave reviews this week, but I still liked how he played the piano (a bit). What's this kid going to whip out next - a harmonica and banjo?
